About this policy

This Refund Policy explains when SearchAheadSEO ("we", "us", "our") can and cannot refund fees, and how to cancel a recurring service. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions and applies to all services we provide.

Please read it carefully before you pay. By paying an invoice, you confirm that you have read and agree to this policy.

Why our services are non-refundable

Our services are made up of skilled time and custom work. Once we begin, that time is spent and the work cannot be returned or resold. This is why we operate a strict no-refund policy once work has started.

No refunds once work has commenced

All fees are 100% non-refundable once work has commenced. This applies to:

• Monthly SEO, content and ad management retainers
• SEO audits, including technical, on-page and local SEO audits
• SEO content and copywriting
• Video and reel ad scriptwriting
• White-hat backlink outreach
• Google Ads and Meta Ads campaign setups

Work is treated as having commenced when we start any task for you. This includes research, audits, keyword planning, strategy calls, outreach, drafting or setting up accounts and campaigns.

Refunds will not be given because results take longer than expected, rankings or ad performance change, you change your mind, or your business priorities change. As explained in our Disclaimer, we do not guarantee specific rankings or ad results.

Fees paid before work begins

If you paid us but we have not yet started any work, you may ask for a refund. Refunds at this stage are at our discretion.

If we agree to a refund, we will deduct any third-party costs already incurred for your project, such as paid tools, software licences, content placements or outreach fees. We will tell you the amount deducted and why.

Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method or by bank transfer, usually within 14 business days.

Advertising spend

Money you pay to Google, Meta or any other ad platform for ad spend is paid directly to that platform. It is not paid to us, so we cannot refund it.

Any request for a refund, credit or adjustment of ad spend is governed by the policies of that platform. We are happy to guide you through the platform's process where we can.

Cancelling a recurring retainer

You may cancel a monthly retainer at any time by giving 30 days' written notice. To cancel:

• Email searchaheadseo@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account
• Use the subject line "Retainer cancellation"
• Include your business name and the service you wish to cancel

Notice starts from the date we receive your email. WhatsApp messages and phone calls do not count as written notice, though we will remind you to send an email.

The notice-period month is billable. We will continue to deliver services during the notice period, and the fee for that period is payable in full. Retainer fees already paid for a month that has started are not refunded.

Standalone projects

For standalone projects, the 50% deposit is non-refundable once work has commenced. If you cancel a project partway through, the balance for the work completed up to cancellation becomes payable, and we will hand over the completed work once payment is received.

Pausing or reducing services

If you want to pause or reduce a retainer instead of cancelling, contact us before your next billing date. Changes take effect from the next billing month and are subject to our written agreement.

Billing disputes

If you think an invoice is wrong, for example a duplicate charge or an amount that does not match your proposal, please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank.

To raise a billing dispute:

• Email searchaheadseo@gmail.com with the subject line "Billing dispute"
• Include the invoice number, the amount in question and the reason for your dispute
• Attach any supporting documents, such as payment receipts

We will acknowledge your email within 3 business days and aim to resolve it within 14 business days. If we find a billing error, we will correct it and refund or credit any amount charged by mistake.

If we cannot resolve the dispute together, it will be handled as set out in the governing law section of our Terms & Conditions.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "updated" date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Changes do not apply to payments made before the update.
